WCWI's Annual Pre-Conference

Day 1 | Tuesday, October 11, 2022

Workshop Facilitator:

Zach Mercurio, Ph.D.

Author, keynote speaker, consultant,
and researcher specializing in purposeful leadership, meaningful
work, and positive organizational psychology.

The COVID-19 pandemic left a collective demand for dignity and search for meaning in its wake. Studies repeatedly show that the core of psychological, emotional, and physical well-being is experiencing dignity, purpose, and feeling like we matter to others. Yet while surveys show that 79% of leaders know that purpose and meaning are important to well-being, just 29% of leaders say they regularly enact practices that cultivate meaningfulness in work.

In this interactive and practical workshop, author and purposeful leadership and meaningful work researcher Zach Mercurio, Ph.D. will guide you through research-backed approaches and strategies to develop a purposeful mindset, refine your own leadership purpose, and design a culture that cultivates well-being through meaningfulness, purpose, and dignity.

During this workshop, participants will:

  • Learn evidence-based practices to develop a purposeful mindset
  • Identify how your unique strengths make a unique impact
  • Develop a “leadership purpose statement” to guide your well-being movement
  • Learn how to create a meaningful workplace culture to foster well-being
  • Be able to show people how they matter and connect people to purpose in a fear-free environment
  • Self-assess your current purposeful leadership skills and develop a 30-day action plan

Each participant will receive a workbook with exercises and templates to take back to their organizations.
