Fitness & Health Promotion Program Manager
AdvantageHealth Corporation, a leader in worksite health promotion, is currently seeking to fill an opening for a full-time Fitness & Wellness Program Manager for our client’s corporate location in Minneapolis, MN. This individual will collaborate with our client’s HR/Benefits to support their organization’s wellness initiatives, utilizing the Wellness Council of America (WELCOA) standards and guidelines. This individual will assume the overall management of the employee Fitness & Wellness Center with primary responsibility for the implementation and administration of a comprehensive employee health promotion/risk reduction program. Job duties include:
- Lead fitness and wellness center operations including overseeing member management, and the design, promotion, and implementation of a results-driven wellness program
- Developing and administering well-being incentive campaigns/challenges
- Collecting and analyzing evaluations to measure effectiveness of programs
- Lead onsite group fitness classes
- Offering 1:1 and small group personal training, includes customized workout routines based on participant(s) goals
- Conducting fitness assessments on fitness center members to determine baseline measurements and as a means for goal-setting
- Providing outstanding customer service to members and our client
- Provide monthly webinars for employees to tune in to learn more about healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, weight management, mindfulness & more.
- Develop educational materials on areas such as weight management, stress management, healthy eating, physical activity, and family health
- Create and maintain reports that show budget, programming, health coaching & other stats bi-weekly to AdvantageHealth and client
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science, kinesiology, corporate fitness, health promotion, community/public health or similar field.
- A minimum of one or more years leading a comprehensive fitness/wellness effort in a corporate or community setting, with emphasis in program development and evaluation, staff supervision, budgets, lifestyle intervention techniques and membership recruitment/retention.
- Certifications in fitness/wellness fields, i.e. group exercise, personal training, yoga, Pilates and/or health coaching highly desired.
- Experience providing one-on-one and group personal training, including program design and customization for a varied clientele
- Current certification in CPR/AED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Professional certification(s) by nationally recognized health/fitness organizations
