I am extremely honored to be nominated and selected as a final WCWI Leaderboard Champion! After only a short time in the working world, this is a personal and professional accomplishment that solidifies my passion for wellness. A few years ago in college I learned about WCWI and it has been a goal of mine to be a WCWI Wellness Champion. I am very excited to be recognized for the work that I am doing to better the health and wellbeing of others! 

 

One of my long term goals for the Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) Health and Wellbeing strategy is to create an open and trusting environment for employees.  I have committed to make myself visible and available to all of MPTC’s employees on each of our campuses on a monthly basis so they can improve their own wellbeing. It would be great to see potential hires wanting to work at MPTC because of our culture of wellbeing.

 

My vision for the future of employee wellbeing revolves around the word “culture”. It would be great to see wellbeing as the “norm” as opposed to an extra benefit. 

 

My profession offers me the opportunity to work with individuals to create a healthy lifestyle balance. This balance impacts lives on a personal and professional basis. Creating a healthy culture at home and work are vital.
