Program Description:
WCWI strives to share with its members: What are employers doing in Wisconsin to address wellbeing and how are their programs evolving? In this session, we explore Verve, A Credit Union’s journey to building a comprehensive strategy and integrated culture of wellbeing.
About Verve, A Credit Union:
Verve challenges the status quo to better serve the needs of others – their members, their team members and the community. Along the road to building Verve’s wellness program there have been many bumps, bridges, roadblocks, and beautiful vistas. Julie Ortman will bring you down that road and share all of the stops along the way as Verve worked to build a healthier, happier culture of wellbeing. This session will highlight several factors that helped Verve progress their wellness strategy. Julie will tell Verve’s story and leave you with a plethora of ideas to create the biggest impact for your organization. So bring your super hero vibe and get ready to take a road trip to wellness!

Julie Ortman, MA, NSCA is the Wellness Director for Verve a credit union. She has been involved in the health and fitness arena for her entire life and between playing, coaching and owning her own personal training business she has done it all. She is passionate about helping people be their best self, making personal connections and building authentic relationships.  She is committed to creating a more engaged, productive and healthy culture for her Verve team. To recharge Julie enjoys cycling, boating, fishing, traveling and having quiet time with wife Pam and fur baby Beau. Julie’s quotes to live by are: “Anything worth doing is worth doing right” and “It’s about the little things.” She is a member of WCWI’s inaugural TECH Training, is one of WCWI’s seven 2019 Leaderboard Champions of Wellbeing, and she led Verve in achieving a Gold Well Workplace Award in 2018.
