Collaboration in support of wellness is one of the foundational concepts to building an effective wellbeing strategy. Working together, sharing ideas, brainstorming and developing plans -- all requires communication with your teams, leaders and employees. Engaging people in these conversations, to work collectively toward building and implementing a strategy, can be challenging.
The progress and success of your organization’s wellbeing strategy is directly related to the effectiveness of the conversations you are having. How do you create the space to effectively communicate your message? To ensure that you guide your conversations for connection and collaboration, you have to understand your brain’s responses, practice skills to respond, and then use your knowledge to have more effective conversations.
Did you know that during a conversation, there’s a neurochemical cocktail that’s influencing everyone involved? These influences are unconscious, however, you can learn to recognize the signs of neurochemical impacts in yourself and others. This information can give you the power to build your relationships with intention; engage with your teams, leaders and employees for effective collaboration; and recover from disconnection to work more productively toward your goals for employee wellbeing.
