No One Size Fits All:
Incorporating DE&I Into Wellbeing Strategy

Susan Morgan Bailey, MS, CIC®, SHRM-SCP, SPHR
Vice President, Culture & Wellbeing, Marsh & McLennan-Michigan

Courage Track: Social

The most effective health and wellbeing strategies are comprehensive in nature and offer something for everyone. However, if you do not know who “everyone” is, you may be missing an opportunity to connect and support your people to truly thrive. As focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) grows increasingly important, taking a step back to consider how thinking with a diversity, equity and inclusion mindset can influence the success of your strategy is a step not to be missed. Join this session to learn how to use a DE&I mindset in your work to impact wellbeing.

Learning Objectives:
  • Define diversity, equity & inclusion and their relationship to wellbeing
  • Describe how DE&I can influence health and wellbeing program engagement and utilization
  • Understand how personas can be used as a framework for building relevant approaches for your entire population
  • Develop an action plan to incorporate DE&I thinking into wellbeing strategy
