As the wellbeing industry evolves to align with updated thinking on health, human nature and behavior change, wellness professionals need to transform themselves in order to stay relevant and confidently lead their organizations or communities into the next generation of wellness. This session will focus on professional growth and development. To support the evolution of wellness in your organization, you will discover how to have greater impact on those you serve; add more value to your organization; and how to courageously change the status quo. You’ll identify four areas for professional growth and commit to a first step in each area.

Learning Objectives: 
  • Identify at least two people within and outside of their network with whom to develop a relationship
  • Identify at least three key guidelines for powerfully communicating with others about change
  • Identify at least one area in which to broaden your knowledge and skillset 
  • Understand the role of courageous leadership in changing the wellbeing paradigm and identify one act of courage to take next 

 

This session is an approved provider of continuing education units (CEUs) through NWI and NCHEC, and pending approval for SHRM.

Speaker Biography: 

Rebecca Johnson is a seasoned expert in individual and organizational wellbeing. Blending her educational background in psychology and mental health with the practical knowledge she has gained from 25 years of experience in health promotion, Rebecca brings a unique perspective and skillset to her work with companies ready to bring their culture and performance to the next level. 

Rebecca is a lead trainer, consultant and the Chief Operations Officer for ViDL Solutions, an organization she co-founded to bring the best of individual wellbeing and organizational health services together under one umbrella. The ViDL model recognizes that conventional thinking on individual and organizational health usually miss the mark – and that an integrated, forward-thinking approach is needed for organizations to truly flourish.
